- Hepatologist – Loyola Medicine
Description
The Division of Hepatology at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and Loyola Medicine is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Transplant Hepatologist to join our nationally recognized liver disease and transplant program at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
The Division's mission is to advance patient care, scientific discovery, and education in liver disease through outstanding personalized care, innovative clinical and translational research, and excellence in teaching the next generation of physicians.
Position Highlights
- Provide comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic liver disease.
- Participate in all aspects of liver transplantation, including evaluation, waitlist management, and post-transplant care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of hepatologists, transplant surgeons, interventional radiologists, transplant coordinators, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists, and nutrition specialists.
- Contribute to the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Engage in a robust academic environment with opportunities to develop clinical and/or translational research interests in areas such as liver transplantation, viral hepatitis, hepatocellular carcinoma, and metabolic liver disease.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Transplant Hepatology.
- Illinois medical license at the time of appointment.
- Excellent clinical skills in General Hepatology and Transplant Hepatology.
- Demonstrated interest and expertise in clinical and/or translational research.
- Commitment to excellence in patient care, teaching, and academic medicine.
This opportunity offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including:
- Competitive starting compensation between $159,000 - $985,945
