Description

 The Department of Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center, located in the western suburbs of Chicago, is recruiting for the position of Chief of Minimally Invasive Surgery, Bariatrics and Community General Surgery. The MIS program is incorporated with Loyola's Digestive Health Program, which is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary program.

REQUIREMENTS:

• The ideal candidate is a leader in minimally invasive surgery with experience in advanced minimally invasive surgery and endoscopic procedures.
• Bariatric surgery is preferred
• Successful candidates will possess an M.D. or D.O., board certification in general surgery by the ABS
• Advanced training/Fellowship in MIS and credentials that will support a faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor
• An Illinois state license is required by the time of hire
• It is strongly preferred that candidates possess prior leadership and program development experience with demonstrated fiscal and administrative responsibility, as well as a strong commitment to resident and medical student education
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills and strong commitment to diversity and inclusivity
